October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is dedicated to increasing awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection. Today, a person's chance of surviving breast cancer is high, if the disease is detected early, thanks to donations to charities that support research and awareness.

However, while tremendous strides in the fight against breast cancer have been made, more still needs to be done to eradicate this disease. The Diamond Store is committed to promoting Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Programs by offering breast cancer charity pink ribbon gifts that help support the cause.

For information about breast cancer research and awareness programs visit:

The Mayo Clinic receives 70% of the money for research and the Donna Foundation - which has served more than 2,000 women - gets the rest. The next marathon will take place February 21, 2010.
